Architectural and real estate photographer based in NYC.

As a visual artist and lifelong creative, photography has always featured prominently in my media arsenal. Along with drawing, painting and writing, I have used a camera to express myself practically my whole life.

Early in my career, I worked for an architecture firm in Austin, TX as a marketing professional. Given my interest in photography, I was asked to photograph some small local projects. It was primarily a documentation exercise at first, but as our portfolio and my photography skills grew, the assignments became more complex and the photos improved. In the seven years I spent with that company, I traveled the country photographing everything from rural elementary schools to top-tier universities.

In 2015 I joined Gensler - the world’s largest and most innovative design firm. I worked in the creative services department for four years, and photographed dozens of projects spanning every size, industry, and geography. Working to Gensler’s exacting quality standards made me really disciplined as a photographer. I grew to really love it, and committed to growing my skills to the art and science of capturing the built environment through a still image. Because I knew many of our clients prior to photographing their spaces, I developed a sense for using photography to authentically convey the larger story. Following most of these projects from concept through completion, I understood what mattered most to the clients in their new space, and attempted to capture that in my work. There is a narrative to placemaking, and the right photo will evoke a feeling that transcends strong composition and good lighting.

If you have a space with a story that needs telling, please reach out, I would love to work with you.
